Dr. Ameca Thomas named CEO of GLEAMNS Human Resources Commission

The GLEAMNS Board of Commissioners announced today that Dr. Ameca Thomas has been named their new Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2024. This decision was made by unanimous vote by the board of commissioners.

Dr. Thomas is the former superintendent of Laurens County School District 55. She has served in other leadership roles including Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning, Director of Research, Testing and Accountabilit, and Principal. Her most recent accolades were being named the 2022 SC Alliance of Black School Educators Superintendent of the Year and the 2022 National School Public Relations Association Superintendent to Watch.
