CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Presbyterian College women's basketball players Bryanna Brady and Tilda Sjökvist were voted onto the preseason All-Big South team.
Sixth year center Bryanna Brady made the first-team, and sophomore guard Tilda Sjökvist made the second-team. The Blue Hose were picked tied for second by the league's coaches in the Big South Preseason Poll.
BRYANNA BRADY
Last season, Brady earned Big South All-Conference honors after playing a big role for the Blue Hose. Brady led PC and finished sixth in the league averaging 13.4 points per game. She ranked third in the league for blocks with 31, and was one of only four players who averaged a block per game. The Goodyear, Arizona native recorded 18 double-digit point games and led the team 13 times in scoring.
TILDA SJÖKVIST
Last season, Sjökvist led the Blue Hose with 103 assists ranking inside the top five in the Big South and among the top freshman in the league for assists. She had 13 games with four or more assists. This Huskvarna Sweden native achieved four Freshman of the Week honors netting her a spot on the league's all-freshman team. She finished fourth on the team averaging 8.2 points/game and finished with 11 double-figure scoring outputs.
BLUE HOSE PICKED TIED FOR SECOND
Presbyterian was picked tied for second in the preseason poll, only behind High Point. The Blue Hose return all 13 letterwinners off of last season's team, when they won nine conference matchups and ranked fifth in the Big South Conference.
Presbyterian coach Alaura Sharp, who is entering her sixth season with the Blue Hose program, welcomes freshman guard Laney Scoggins to join the 13 returning letterwinniners on the 2023-24 roster.
