The Clinton Little Devils (CLD) traveled to Charlotte, NC on Sunday, November 11, 2023 to play at the Bank of America Stadium, home of NFL team Carolina Panthers. An awesome experience for the players to have this opportunity. The event was sponsored by Playbook Sports. Teams from many states traveled to participate in this event which included tackle and flag football.
6U Team – Head Coach BJ Coleman. “Keep Pounding” and the 6U Clinton Little Devils did just that this past Sunday as the team traveled to Bank of America Stadium for an exhibition game where they played extremely well coming out on top 22-6. “I can’t put into words how proud I am of these players as they continued to display their hard work and dedication as the season progressed. Seemingly so that when presented with the opportunity to play on an NFL field, the 6U put together their best performance yet. With nice blocking by the whole team, many players were able to gain positive yards with touchdowns by Braylen Coleman and Ro’Zavien Garrett. “This has been a joyous season getting to know and see these players grow as 5- and 6-year-olds. As stated, I couldn’t be more proud of them. I look forward to next season as we embark on our journey in becoming better and better each day.”
The 8U won their game by a score of 20-14. Recap will be provided in next week’s paper.
The 10U/12U team came up short, but still played a great game. Final score: 21-14. Touch downs were scored by Messiah Hudgens and Andreiz Anderson. The two-point conversion was made by Jacori Richardson.
Upcoming events:
Saturday, November 18, 2023, one of the CLD teams will play a mini scrimmage at the PC game during halftime. The 6U and 8U teams will combine and then the coaches will divide them up with 6U and 8U players on two teams.
It will be a battle of the white team versus the red team in the mini scrimmage at the halftime of the PC vs Morehead State game. The game will start at 1. We hope the Clinton community will come out to support the PC Blue Hose as well as see the CLD play at halftime.
Saturday, December 2, 2023, seventeen of our beautiful cheerleaders will travel to Charleston, SC to compete in the Tri-County Competition sponsored by the World Cheer Company.

Thank you to those who have donated to the cheerleaders for this event. Starting Wednesday, November 8th, the cheerleaders will be selling calendars for our calendar raffle fundraiser.
The calendars are $10 and will be sold until the end of November. Each day during the month of December, a drawing will be held live on the CLD Facebook page.
One winner per day for prizes listed on that day. Prizes will include a $250 cash prize on Christmas day: a 60” color TV and a 32” color TV. Contact any cheerleader for a calendar.
The businesses shown on the calendar were very generous in supporting this fundraiser. Added after print were 2 $50 gas cards from the Hot Spot on the Laurens highway.
These will be added to the December 3rd and December 8th prizes.
