Press Release: Major Breakthrough in Homicide Investigation

In a significant development, the Laurens Police Department Detectives Bureau has made a breakthrough in a homicide investigation that initially appeared to be a natural death.

On January 22, 2024, officers responded to the scene (A duplex located at 804 Church Street, Laurens, SC), initially treating it as a natural death. However, subsequent autopsy results revealed that the cause of death was homicide by blunt force trauma, prompting detectives to suspect foul play.

Through meticulous investigative efforts, including multiple interviews and search warrants, the detectives have identified the suspects as Ashley T. Greene, a 38-year-old black female and Terry B. Anderson, a 56-year-old black male.

Ashley Greene has been arrested and charged with Murder in connection with the death of her husband, Vadis Greene, aged 52.

Additionally, Terry Anderson has also been arrested and charged with Murder for his involvement in the same incident.

The Laurens Police Department Detectives Bureau urges anyone with information related to this case to come forward. Please contact Detective Sergeant Sellers at 864-984-3532 or via email at bsellers@cityoflaurenssc.com.
