A Heartfelt Thank You for a Community-Wide Act of Kindness

Dear Laurens County Community,

On Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, we witnessed an extraordinary act of generosity that has warmed our hearts and will undoubtedly touch the lives of many in our community. Walmart Distribution, in collaboration with the Clinton Police Department, donated a substantial supply of new clothing items with the vision of providing comfort and warmth to those in need within Laurens County.  This act of kindness is a testament to Walmart Distribution's commitment to making a positive impact in the communities they serve.

The Clinton Police Department has taken on the responsibility of coordinating the distribution of these new clothing items, showcasing their proactive approach to assisting the community. Leveraging their extensive network of service agencies, including the Laurens County Safe Home, Open Door Ministries, School District 56, Laurens County DSS, and other service groups, the department is working tirelessly to ensure that this generous donation reaches every corner of our community.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Walmart Distribution for their generosity and their commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of our residents. Additionally, a special thank you to Darren Hirsch for generously allowing us to utilize and operate this initiative out of the old Renfro building. Your support has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life.

As we approach the holiday season, let this collaboration between Walmart Distribution, the Clinton Police Department, and our local service agencies serve as a reminder of the power of community unity and the positive change that can be achieved when individuals and businesses come together for a common cause.

Thank you, Walmart Distribution, for your generosity, and thank you to everyone involved.  Special thanks to Mia in making this initiative a reality.

With heartfelt appreciation,

The Clinton Police Department
