Veterans Day in Clinton

A DEBT WE OWE, A DEBT WE CAN NEVER REPAY.

 

The City of Clinton paid tribute to Veterans on Friday (Nov. 11) during an observance moved indoors at Broad St. United Methodist Church, with Circuit Judge Robin Stilwell as the featured speaker. Veterans Costell Little (Purple Heart recipient), Andy Howard and Shelby Bruce received flags flown over the Statehouse. Laurens County Council Member Luke Rankin presented The National Anthem and God Bless America; and State Sen. Danny Verdin, State Rep. Doug Gilliam, and Clinton Mayor Bob McLean also took part in the observance (a special thanks goes to Brenda Stewart for organizing this observance.
